Rest and Restore Flow
Mondays 6.00pm-7.00pm
Tang Hall Explore Library

This class is perfect for beginners and for those recognising they need to slow down in life. A mindful flow of postures (asanas) are taught with an opportunity to practice breath work (pranayama) and mediation (Dhyana). Kathy encourages time for reflection by introducing a theme for each class that links with the Yamas and Niyamas, how we treat ourselves and the world around us.



Strength and Stability Flow
Mondays 7.15pm-8.15pm
Tang Hall Explore Library

For those wanting a stronger physical practice this class will focus on a vinyasa flow based on moving the body through sun salutations (surya namaskar) standing, seated and inversion poses. There will be an emphasis on alignment, building strength and increasing flexibility. Similar to the rest and restore class there will be a theme which links with the Yamas and Niyamas, how we treat ourselves and the world around us.

Delving Deeper into Yoga

Fist Friday of the month 7-9pm

This monthly workshop was designed for students who have completed the 8-week course for stress, anxiety and depression and wanted to advance their practice. Continuing to use an educative approach many areas of yoga are explored such as the history and philosophy of yoga, breath work (pranayama) chanting, benefits of common postures, neuroscience and mindfulness. Each month the students receive a booklet with further information to reflect upon which may inspire yoga to be applied in everyday life.
